Home / Guides Türkçe Free farm tools Calculate dry matter and daily feed costs, and plan for expected births. Your inputs stay in your browser.
Choose the tool for your task. Convert your feed quantities, compare daily costs or plan for expected births. Each tool includes its formula, worked example and sources. Enter all prices in the same currency.
Tools Dry matter intake planning estimator Enter your cattle’s live weight and two intake percentages to calculate a daily dry matter range. The result shows kilograms of dry matter per animal per day, ready to compare with the feed offered and left in the trough. Keep the calculation current with your group’s measured weights and feed intake records.
Ration cost per head per day Add the daily cost of up to four feeds using as-fed kilograms per animal and a price per as-fed kilogram. Keep every price in the same currency. The result is a feed-cost subtotal for one animal for one day. Use the feed-cost subtotal with production income and other expenses when reviewing the farm’s wider accounts.
As-fed ↔ dry matter converter Convert a weighed feed amount into kilograms of dry matter, or calculate the as-fed amount needed to supply a chosen dry matter amount. Enter the feed’s measured dry matter percentage. Water contributes to the weight you carry and buy, but it is excluded from dry matter comparisons. The calculation stays in your browser.
Gestation and expected birth date calculator Add an assumed gestation length to the mating or insemination date to plan an expected birth date. Species presets are 283 days for cattle, 147 for sheep and 150 for goats. Use these reference values to plan preparation around the expected date; birth may fall before or after it. Keep pregnancy confirmation and the actual birth date as separate records.
Dairy cattle body condition score guide Use this reference to understand the dairy cattle 1–5 body condition scale and prepare a consistent observation for your animal record. Select the score you observed on the animal and keep it with the date, scoring scale and production stage. A condition score describes body reserves and should be interpreted alongside stage of lactation, milk yield, and ration intake.
Feed cost savings scenario estimator Explore how a feed-cost reduction you assume would affect a chosen herd and period. Enter animal count, current daily feed cost, days and lower/upper percentage assumptions. The scenario range shows the effect of your chosen assumptions; compare it with actual costs over a matching farm period. Include 0% to compare unchanged spending with the reductions you want to explore.
