Event date: farm glossary
Event date is the date a farm event happened. It may be earlier than the day the information is entered on the phone. The occurrence date places a birth, observation or action in its actual order in the animal’s history. The entry’s creation date describes when the information was saved.
A farm example
A birth during the night can be recorded the next morning with its own event date. The two dates describe the birth and its later entry, so a delayed note can still follow the event’s timing.
Everyday use
HerdMobile can store a separate occurrence date for animal events. In older entries that contain only a creation date, that available date supplies the timeline position.
How HerdMobile helps
Bring your animals, feed stocks and farm accounts together on your Android phone. HerdMobile keeps your daily work moving offline: record events, compare feed quantities and follow sales and payments in one place. Use your own feeds and herd information to prepare a ration, then keep a backup file under your control.
