Health record: farm glossary
A health record is a dated observation or health-related event for a particular animal. It can contain what was seen, what was done and a veterinarian’s findings or instructions. These details describe that animal’s care history. The date and animal identification make the note useful when another worker takes over or the animal is checked again.
A farm example
A lameness observation and a later examination are separate parts of the same history. The first note describes the farm observation; the later entry records the examination and the agreed next care task.
Everyday use
HerdMobile’s health-event category keeps these notes with the animal. Opening its history helps the farmer find the earlier observations before the next check.
How HerdMobile helps
