Income record: farm glossary

An income record describes a farm transaction entered as income. It identifies what the income relates to, its amount and its date. Milk sales and animal sales are examples of activities that produce income records. The total sale price and the cash collected are recorded separately, especially when a buyer pays in instalments.

A farm example

A milk sale can have an agreed total while only part of the payment has arrived. The income record describes the sale; dated collections show the money received against it.

Everyday use

HerdMobile brings income and payment records together in the farm account. This helps the farmer follow both the business done and the balance still to collect.

How HerdMobile helps

Bring your animals, feed stocks and farm accounts together on your Android phone. HerdMobile keeps your daily work moving offline: record events, compare feed quantities and follow sales and payments in one place. Use your own feeds and herd information to prepare a ration, then keep a backup file under your control.
