Archived record: farm glossary

An archived record is a record placed in the archive for organising everyday farm lists. Archive information and the animal’s life-cycle status describe separate things. The archive helps organise the daily view, while the recorded animal history remains available with its earlier events and details. The selected list determines which animals appear in that view.

A farm example

A farmer can review historical animal information separately from the list used for today’s jobs. A sale or other status still keeps its own meaning in the animal’s history.

Everyday use

HerdMobile keeps archive information alongside animal status. These details help the farmer organise daily work and find earlier records when checking a sale, birth or care event.

How HerdMobile helps

Bring your animals, feed stocks and farm accounts together on your Android phone. HerdMobile keeps your daily work moving offline: record events, compare feed quantities and follow sales and payments in one place. Use your own feeds and herd information to prepare a ration, then keep a backup file under your control.
