Period total: farm glossary

A period total adds the included records between a chosen start and end date. It can describe milk produced, feed used or money recorded during that interval. The type of record identifies what is being added. The length of the period also affects the result, so a week and a month cover different amounts of farm activity.

A farm example

A milk total for a full month and a total for part of that month cover different days. Their dates and the animals included explain how the two totals relate.
