Quotation: farm glossary

A quotation is a supplier’s offer for identified goods or services at stated prices and terms. It describes what is being offered, the quantity, the currency and conditions such as delivery. A quotation helps plan a purchase before it takes place. Its date matters because a later offer may contain a different price or set of terms.

A farm example

A feed offer can include the product price and transport. Comparing two offers means comparing the same quantity and the costs included in each quoted total.

Everyday use

HerdMobile’s feed prices and stock records provide the farm information behind a purchase decision. After buying, the actual purchase amount and payment belong to the farm account.

How HerdMobile helps

HerdMobile keeps your daily work moving offline: record events, compare feed quantities and follow sales and payments in one place.
