Currency: farm glossary
Currency is the monetary unit used for a price, payment or balance. Turkish lira, euros and US dollars are examples. The currency gives meaning to the number in a money record. A price per kilogram therefore includes both a weight unit and a currency, while a payment amount belongs to the currency agreed for that transaction.
A farm example
Two feed offers can use different currencies. Comparing them requires prices in the same currency and matching weight units, such as a kilogram or tonne price.
Everyday use
In the farm account, the currency is shown alongside the amount. HerdMobile uses the farm’s currency settings for recorded money amounts, keeping feed prices, payments and balances clear.
How HerdMobile helps
Bring your animals, feed stocks and farm accounts together on your Android phone. HerdMobile keeps your daily work moving offline: record events, compare feed quantities and follow sales and payments in one place. Use your own feeds and herd information to prepare a ration, then keep a backup file under your control.
