Animal event: farm glossary

An animal event is a dated entry about something observed or done for a particular animal. It can describe a birth, health observation, sale, tag change or farm note. The animal, event date and description identify what happened. Together, the events form the animal’s history from one day to the next.

A farm example

A calving note and a later health observation are separate events for the same animal. Each has its own date and description, allowing the farmer to follow the order of care and production.

Everyday use

HerdMobile organises events by category within the animal history. Opening that history brings earlier observations and completed actions into view before the next farm task.

How HerdMobile helps

Bring your animals, feed stocks and farm accounts together on your Android phone. HerdMobile keeps your daily work moving offline: record events, compare feed quantities and follow sales and payments in one place. Use your own feeds and herd information to prepare a ration, then keep a backup file under your control.
