Birth record: farm glossary
A birth record describes a reported birth for an identified animal. The date, mother and newborn information connect the observation with the right animals. An expected birth date plans checks before the event; the birth entry describes the event that occurred. Each belongs at its own point in the history.
A farm example
A cow’s calving note can record when the birth was observed and identify the calf. Later newborn-care notes add the care carried out, so the next worker can follow the sequence from birth onward.
Everyday use
HerdMobile includes birth among animal-event categories. The dated animal history brings the birth entry together with earlier information and the care notes added afterward.
How HerdMobile helps
Bring your animals, feed stocks and farm accounts together on your Android phone. HerdMobile keeps your daily work moving offline: record events, compare feed quantities and follow sales and payments in one place. Use your own feeds and herd information to prepare a ration, then keep a backup file under your control.
