Measured value: farm glossary
A measured value is obtained directly from a tool or test, such as a scale reading or laboratory feed analysis. The unit shows what was measured, while the animal or feed record and date show which subject and day the measurement belongs to so it can be compared with other measurements of the same kind.
A farm example
A scale weight for an animal and an analysis result for a feed are measured values. Each belongs with the animal or sample and the date on which it was observed.
Everyday use
HerdMobile keeps entered farm quantities and dated animal information together. These observations provide the farmer’s own figures when reviewing production, feed use or the inputs selected for a ration.
How HerdMobile helps
Bring your animals, feed stocks and farm accounts together on your Android phone. HerdMobile keeps your daily work moving offline: record events, compare feed quantities and follow sales and payments in one place. Use your own feeds and herd information to prepare a ration, then keep a backup file under your control.
