Deliberately delete the app’s local device records
Delete Local Data clears the app’s local profiles and records on this device after a confirmation. This action clears all local profiles and records on the phone; use the individual record’s controls for a smaller correction. Make a deliberate decision and preserve a usable backup beforehand if you may need these records again. Restoration requires a suitable backup file and any required PIN.
Decide whether broad deletion is really intended
Review what you want to remove before opening the action. Local deletion clears all profiles, businesses, herds, animals, finances, feeds, rations, reminders and app photos on this phone. Use the record’s edit or archive action when you want to correct or archive just that entry. Do not delete data simply because a form rejects an invalid value.
Preserve a usable backup outside the app
If you may need the records again, create a fresh backup ZIP and finish saving it in a separate folder or drive before deletion. Keep the file somewhere you control outside the app’s managed data, and retain its required PIN privately. Use a backup ZIP for full restoration and keep CSV and animal PDF files separately as reports. Before deletion, check that the backup ZIP was fully saved outside the app and store its original PIN in a separate safe place, with a note identifying the matching file.
Read the confirmation before choosing deletion
In the profile, select Delete Local Data and read the backup recommendation in the confirmation dialog. Choose Cancel if the scope is wrong or you are not ready. Only choose the deletion button when clearing the local profiles and records is your actual intent. Read the confirmation on the phone and choose Cancel if you want to keep the local records.
Wait for completion and inspect the local result
Wait for the action to finish; the confirmation disables repeated deletion while it runs. If an error appears, read it and inspect the app state before retrying or creating new records. Do not assume every step completed merely because the button was pressed. A successful local reset clears the local profiles and records; use a saved backup and restore to return to previous information.
Manage exported copies separately
Manage files you previously exported or shared in the folder or app where you saved them. For information held by advertising or analytics services, follow the separate request steps on the data-deletion and privacy pages. Retain any backup you deliberately need and protect access to it. Do not send backup files or private records to support when asking about a deletion error.
