Create and review a ration suggestion

Use Suggest ration to build a daily feeding plan for a single animal or an eligible herd group. Check the target animal or group, production details, and stock option first, then review the suggested feeds, daily amounts, and shopping list before assigning the ration or recording daily feeding.

  1. Check the business, herd and target animal

Open Suggest ration from the ration screen or the animal’s ration panel. On the ration screen, select an eligible herd or a single active animal to unlock the button. When the Animal selector is shown, confirm whether you are planning for a whole group or a single ear tag. Switching the animal loads its own saved target values, so check your selection before entering new numbers.

  2. Review the visible production inputs

Enter Live weight kg and select the animal’s current production stage. For lactating animals, enter Daily milk liters as well. The form fills in saved profile values automatically, and young-stock stages show age-appropriate fields. Enter actual farm measurements and read any warning on screen; if a calculation stops, fix the highlighted weight or yield field and calculate again.

  3. Choose stock mode and profile changes deliberately

Choose Stock + purchases to combine your current inventory with catalogue feeds and generate a shopping list, or choose Use only current stock to plan strictly with feed on hand. Record actual feed purchases separately when stock arrives on the farm. For a single animal, turn on Save this target to the feeding profile if you want to update its saved targets too, then tap Create suggestion.

  4. Read and use the daily ration

Read each feed’s per-animal amount on the Today's ration card. Amounts below 1 kg appear in grams: 100 g = 0.1 kg. The shopping list shows extra feed needed. Check the target animal or herd before tapping Use ration to assign the plan. Record today’s feeding and stock deduction separately through the daily application form.

Plan with current feeds and prices

Keep feed prices, stock and animal details current to plan with the feed you have. Catalogue feeds appear in your selected language; feed names you entered yourself keep their wording. After an error, check existing suggestions and assignments to pick up where you left off. After updating prices, save the same ration again and check its cost per animal.
