Record a completed vaccination and its follow-up
Save a completed vaccination against the right animal with its actual date and vaccine name. Add a follow-up date to keep the next visit on your reminder list, with the vaccination paperwork alongside the dated record.
Open the right animal’s event form
Check the ear tag and current animal record before choosing Add Event. Select Vaccine in the form even though it is the initial event type, so you verify the category rather than relying on a default. Have the actual vaccination record available. Do not enter a planned procedure as if it had already happened or copy another animal’s history without checking.
Describe what was actually recorded
Fill Title with a clear description from your source record and use Note for factual details you need to retain. Title is required. Keep any product, batch or professional instructions exactly as documented rather than guessing missing information. Copy the vaccine name, timing and instructions from your veterinarian’s plan so the record matches the work carried out.
Check the event and follow-up dates
Review Event date, which starts at today, and use the actual date if entering an earlier vaccination. The app rejects a future event date. The calendar picker uses the known birth date as its lower limit; check a typed date against the animal’s history yourself. Follow-up date is separate: enter the planned follow-up only when appropriate to your documented instructions. Use the date format requested by the app and correct any validation message before saving.
Save once and verify the timeline
If you need an image, complete the camera or gallery selection before choosing Save. Wait for the result, then inspect the animal’s timeline and the saved date and description. If a linked reminder was created, review it and check phone notification permissions and quiet hours separately. Check quiet hours, Android permission and battery settings alongside the saved record when testing its notification.
Use Vaccine Schedule alongside the animal’s history
Vaccine Schedule shows programme names in your selected language. Young-stock starter entries appear around the relevant age window. Use the animal’s history to follow completed vaccinations and match the date, ear tag and product with the vaccination paperwork. This keeps age-based planning and completed records together.
How do I protect the new entry?
Compare the saved event with your source record before entering the rest of the herd. Avoid duplicate submissions if an error leaves the outcome uncertain; first inspect whether an event already exists. Follow the normal backup routine after confirming a healthy saved state, and keep earlier ZIP files separately. To move this record to another phone, export a backup ZIP and restore it on the new phone.
