Record a milk sale and its payment status
Record an actual milk sale in the correct business, with its volume, price and collection status. Milk Sale calculates the sale total from liters and unit price. It keeps the sale distinct from production and records income for the amount collected. Choose payment status deliberately because the initial selection is Paid.
Identify the business and sale
In Finance, check the selected business and open Milk Sale. Compare the delivery or sale record with any existing entry before adding another. Enter Liters and Unit price from the actual agreement; both must be positive. Check the units and decimal separators rather than putting a total invoice amount into the per-liter price field.
Review the sale details
Enter the actual sale date and buyer details when available; a blank sale date is stored as the current time. Keep notes factual. The optional Milk document action selects an image from the gallery when mobile integration is available. Let the photo selection finish and retain the original sale paperwork with the dated record.
Choose the collection state accurately
Paid records the full total as collected. For Partial, Paid amount must be greater than zero and less than the total. Receivable means no collection, so leave the paid amount blank or zero. Enter a paid amount between zero and the sale total, using the amount actually received. Check the initial Paid choice against the amount actually received and choose Partial or Receivable when appropriate.
Set follow-up if needed and verify
Use Payment due date only for your planned collection follow-up. A linked reminder is created only if money remains and a date is supplied. Choose Save once and review the resulting sale, collected income and any outstanding balance in Finance. A reminder and its phone notification are separate checks; Android permissions and quiet hours can affect the alert.
Record later receipts against this sale
When the buyer pays later, use the Paid amount action on the existing outstanding sale rather than creating the sale again or entering another general income for the same receipt. Recording collection against the sale updates its linked income and remaining balance together. Keep your supporting delivery and payment documents and compare the remaining balance after each collection. Keep this local entry alongside the official sale paperwork and bank receipt so the transaction is easy to reconcile.
