Manage the visible feed list and feed records

Use the ration overview’s feed controls to prepare local feed records, enter an actual price and record genuine initial stock. Enter the catalogue feed, quantity and price in the feed form, and keep laboratory reports with your batch documents. Compare catalogue reference values with the laboratory report for the feed batch you have on the farm. Check the business and the real product before using a feed record in a ration.

  1. Review the business and prepared list

In the ration overview, verify the selected business. Prepare feed list adds applicable default feed records that are not already active in that business, then opens Feed List. Match the saved feed records with the actual deliveries, invoices and physical quantities in your store. Inspect the existing names and stock quantities before adding another record; catalogue availability depends on the business’s country.

  2. Choose the actual feed product

Use Add feed record for a new local entry. Feed name offers catalogue autocomplete filtered to the business country. Match the catalogue entry to the actual feed using its name, type and batch information. Catalogue matching can populate reference composition and product attributes behind the form. An arbitrary unmatched name may not provide the data an automatic ration calculation needs.

  3. Enter an actual price and only unrecorded initial stock

The price field uses the business currency per kilogram as-fed, not the total cost of a sack or a dry-matter price. Check your real purchase information before entering it. Initial stock kg is offered for a new record and is optional. Enter only a genuine quantity not already in stock; a positive initial quantity creates a feed purchase record, with a cost when price is known.

  4. Save and check the resulting feed record

Choose Save and inspect Feed List and the related stock record. When editing an existing feed, its name stays read-only; record later stock changes through purchases and consumption. Compare the catalogue reference values with the laboratory report for the batch you have on the farm. If a warning appears, review its cause and the existing record before retrying; do not duplicate a purchase to make an unavailable ration action appear ready.

Laboratory analysis is outside this short form

Enter the feed name, price and initial stock in the feed form. Keep dry matter, protein and fibre analysis results in the batch documents so you can check batch-specific values accurately. Do not relabel another product to imitate an analysis update. Use the free as-fed/dry-matter converter to check units and keep the conversion beside the batch analysis when comparing feed quantities.
