Edit the animal’s visible feeding profile

Open Feeding profile for the correct animal to review its observable production information. The current farmer form exposes live weight, lactating and pregnant choices where applicable, and daily milk volume when lactating. It keeps expert fields out of this short flow. Enter known facts and leave an unknown weight blank instead of inventing a measurement.

  1. Verify the animal before opening the profile

Open the animal card’s ration panel, check its ear tag, business and herd, then choose Feeding profile. Read the existing summary before editing so you know which facts you intend to change. Use these details for the animal’s feeding plan, and enter measured milk production and milk sales in their own forms. Keep the animal’s current measurements and production records beside you while updating the profile.

  2. Review the actual production-state choices

Review Lactating and Pregnant only where the form presents them for this animal. Choose the states from current known information and retain the pregnancy confirmation date with the animal’s records. Switching lactation off clears the milk entry, so do not toggle it merely to see a different screen. If a state seems incompatible with the animal’s identity, investigate the real record rather than changing sex or lifecycle status to force the control.

  3. Enter known weight and milk values

Use Live weight kg for the animal’s weight; the screen says an estimate is enough and unknown weight can be left blank. An edited weight is recorded as a visual estimate rather than a verified scale reading. When lactating, Daily milk liters accepts a positive daily volume. Check the unit and decimal separator. To add an individual milk-production transaction, use Milk Production in the animal’s actions.

  4. Save and review the changed profile

Choose Save once and check the resulting profile summary. If the form reports that the profile changed while you were editing, reopen it and compare the latest values before trying again. Review any unusual-number confirmation using your source information. If saving fails, do not assume the new values have become active. Keep earlier factual notes until the stored result has been verified.

Fill in the animal’s feeding details

This form holds live weight, milk yield, lactation and pregnancy details; record live weight in the weight field and keep body-condition scores as separate dated observations in the animal’s notes. The separate free BCS guide helps explain the concept without writing to the app. Use the latest production and pregnancy records when evaluating and updating the animal’s feeding plan.
