Why does this happen?
This message appears when Business name, Herd name or Ear tag number is empty. An entry containing only spaces also counts as empty.
How do I check it?
In Animal Record, check Business name and Herd name. Names already filled in are fixed; if the animal belongs to another herd, return to that herd and open the entry form there.
For a new business or herd, enter the names you want to use. Fill in Ear tag number from the animal’s tag. Check leading zeros and, after scanning, compare the number with the tag.
Choose Save. A new business and herd are created with the animal. If another message asks you to correct a date or price, fix that field and save again.
How do I verify the result?
Find the animal in the intended herd and check its ear tag. Check the business and herd names too if you just created them.
How do I keep my records safe?
For an animal already in your list, edit its existing record. Make a fresh backup when you finish entering your animals.
