My phone is running out of storage

Make room on your phone while keeping your herd records, photos and backups safe.

Why does this happen?

Low storage can interrupt saving or exporting. Records visible on screen may still be unsaved after a save warning; note your latest changes separately while checking the problem.

How do I check it?

  1. Keep the app open and pause new entries. Note the last action, time, exact message and new values. If Could not save on this device appears, follow its help page too; check whether an entry was saved before repeating it.

  2. Check Android’s storage settings. Review unrelated downloads you recognise, preserving anything important before removal. Keep HerdMobile’s app data, database, media and earlier ZIP backups intact; leave the app installed.

  3. After making space, check the save result against your notes. If the warning remains or saving is uncertain, keep the phone as it is and contact Product support with the action, message, app version and available storage. Resume entries once normal saving is confirmed.

How do I verify the result?

Compare affected records with your notes once normal saving is confirmed. Follow the backup guide for a fresh export and check it using the documented preview and restore steps, keeping earlier reliable ZIPs separately.

How do I keep my records safe?

Keep recent values in separate notes and earlier backups unchanged. Treat a hidden warning or extra free space as a reason to check saving; preserve the current records while arranging any recovery. Keep PINs and farm details private.
