Feed species suitability does not match the ration species.
Choose feeds suited to the animals receiving this ration. HerdMobile flags a mismatch so you can correct the feeding plan.
Why does this happen?
A linked feed’s recorded species suitability differs from the ration’s species. Mixed-species feeds pass this check. A cattle-only feed in a sheep ration gets a blocking exclamation mark. The copper check also applies to sheep rations.
How do I check it?
Open Detail and read all Warnings. Match the feed names to the actual product labels. In Edit, check Cattle, Sheep or Goat against the animals receiving the ration; correct a genuine species entry mistake.
For a manually prepared ration, use Remove feed for the unsuitable product. Enter the suitable replacement under Feed name, its planned Fed kg per animal and tap Add feed. Keep the actual animal species selected.
Review every feed and amount, then tap Save. Reopen Detail and read Warnings. For recommendation or least-cost rations, return to that calculation with the correct animals and feed choices to recalculate the plan.
How do I verify the result?
The species warning clears when the feeds match the ration’s species. Check the remaining warnings and compare the saved products and amounts with your feeding plan.
How do I keep my records safe?
Keep earlier purchases, stock movements and daily feeding records. Editing the ration updates the plan; record feed actually given separately. Keep product labels for Product support if a feed’s recorded suitability needs checking.
