Enter purchase date as YYYY-MM-DD.

Why does this happen?
The purchase-date field contains an incomplete date or a day outside the calendar.
How do I check it?
In Animal Record or Edit Animal, open Optional animal fields and find Purchase date (YYYY-MM-DD). Match the ear tag to your purchase document.
Enter the actual purchase date in full. For example, 2025-03-08 means 8 March 2025; complete DD.MM.YYYY and DD/MM/YYYY dates also work. Check the month’s length and leap years.
Tap Save and reopen the animal to check the date. If a message says the purchase date precedes birth, compare both dates with your documents and correct the mistaken entry.
How do I verify the result?
The saved purchase date matches your document, with the birth date in its own field.
How do I keep my records safe?
Leave an unknown purchase date blank when adding an animal. When editing, keep the known date until you have its correction: saving an empty field removes the recorded purchase date. Keep the existing animal record.
