I cannot add a camera or gallery photo

Check photo access, choose your image and save it with the right animal or event.

Why does this happen?

A cancelled selection, denied access, unavailable file or low storage can interrupt adding a photo. Phone permission screens vary by Android version and model.

How do I check it?

  1. Open the intended animal or event and note any unsaved text. Choose Camera for a new photo or Gallery for an existing one. Let the current photo operation finish before trying again.

  2. Read the phone’s permission prompt. If access was refused, review HerdMobile’s permissions in Android settings and allow the access needed for that action. Make sure the chosen file can be opened through its file provider. Complete the selection and confirm the intended image.

  3. Check the form’s photo, then Save the animal or event. Reopen the saved record to check the attachment. After cancellation or interruption, inspect the existing record first. For an error, keep the exact text; check available storage if space is low.

How do I verify the result?

Confirm that the intended image opens on the saved animal or event. For Product support, note the app version, phone model, chosen action and exact error.

How do I keep my records safe?

Keep original photos, app data and earlier backups. Leave the app installed and retain the existing record while checking access. Share a private photo with support only by prior arrangement.
